Vendor terms
Version of 4 October 2026.
These terms
These terms are between you, the vendor running a store on Lotanda, and Lotanda. Creating a store means you accept them.
What Lotanda does
Lotanda provides software for running a pre-order store: your storefront, checkout, batch and order tools, and the emails buyers receive about their orders.
Lotanda is not the seller and is not a party to your sales. Your buyers buy from you.
Your store
You are the seller. You are responsible for your products, descriptions and prices, for buying from your suppliers, and for shipping and delivering what buyers pay for.
You keep your account details accurate and your sign-in secure, and you are responsible for what the people you add to your store do in it.
You follow the laws that apply to your business, including consumer protection, customs and tax.
Payments
Buyers pay through Lotanda’s payment partner, a licensed payment company. It processes payments and payouts to the bank account you verify in your store.
Lotanda’s checkout fee is set by Lotanda and shown in your payment settings; each order keeps the rate it was made at. Your payment setting decides whether the payment partner’s processing charge is added at buyer checkout or deducted from a payment before payout. The payment partner’s own terms also apply to payments.
Refunds and disputes
You set your store’s refund policy, publish it on your store, and honour it. You pay refunds to buyers directly.
You handle buyer complaints and disputes, including payment reversals raised through the payment partner.
Buyer information
You use buyers’ details only for their orders and to keep them informed about them, and you do not sell or share them. Lotanda stores and processes them on your behalf to run your store, under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
Not allowed
Selling anything illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited by the payment partner; misleading buyers about what they are buying or when it will arrive; and taking payment for goods you do not intend to supply.
Suspension
Lotanda may suspend or close a store that breaks these terms or is credibly reported for fraud, and may tell the payment partner. You remain responsible for supplying or refunding orders buyers have already paid for.
Liability
Lotanda provides the software as it is. Lotanda is not responsible for your goods, your delivery, or losses from your sales. As far as the law allows, Lotanda’s liability to you is limited to the fees it took from your store in the three months before a claim.
Changes
Lotanda may update these terms and will email you before a change takes effect. Using Lotanda after that means you accept the new version.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
